The cellars

Our aging and storage cellar has an overall capacity of 12,550,000 litres.
Due to the constant search for quality, we now only use steel barrels and also the pre-existing concrete tanks have been lined with steel.
The wine cellar is divided into five big sections for ageing and storage:

Cellar 1
This cellar, with an overall capacity of about 2,800,000 litres, is used for storing wine upon its receipt, as well as for ageing small and big batches of premium quality wine. The barrique cellar, with a capacity of about 2,000 oak barrels of 225 to 500 litres, is also contained here. This is where the best quality wines are stored, mainly red wines, which are destined for the special selections of the brands by MGM Mondo del Vino (Itynera Premium, Ricossa, and Trevini Primo).

Cellar 2
This cellar, with an overall capacity of 1,700,000 litres, is mainly used to age wine with the use of micro-oxygenation. This innovative ageing method makes it possible to produce wines that are fruity and well-structured at the same time, more easily approachable to consumers.

Cellar 3
This cellar, with an overall capacity of 3,100,000 litres, is crucial to the preparation of wines destined for bottling. It is a highly technological environment where wines undergo a process of stabilization and filtration before being bottled.

Cellar 4
After an enlargement completed in 2007, this cellar can now contain up to 3,300,000 litres. Here, the bulk wines destined to be used within short periods (less than three month rotation) are preserved, aged and stored. These wines are used for the preparation of great blends, which have always been at the basis of the success of some of our brands.

Cellar 5
A space with an overall capacity of 950,000 litres, consisting of small and medium-sized tanks. It is used to age and mature small batches of superior wines destined for the special selections of the brands by MGM Mondo del Vino (Itynera Premium, Ricossa, Trevini Primo).
